When Jannie and Doretta took the plunge and bought Surfsup in February 2022, they knew they were diving into something special. Together with their two awesome kids, Josh and Nikita, plus an incredible team of coaches, they’ve built a thriving surf community right here at Diaz Beach—the only surf school permanently based in this stunning spot!

Over the past three years, we’ve had the privilege of witnessing countless first waves—that magical moment when you feel the ocean beneath you, ride the water, and beam with pure joy.
